What do we know about early music? The admirers more or less versed in music can say that great Bach and Handel, Vivaldi and Frescobaldi, Lully and Purcell worked in baroque epoch. But we do not know the composers and music of the Renaissance epoch at all.
The program named “Beauty which supports my life” introduces the music of early epochs and presents real masterpieces to us most of which are more that 500 years old. Master soloists of the Stanislavsky Opera company accompanied by two instruments will help to revive the sound of ancient times. The instruments have just appeared in the theater: the king of sacred music – organ and the king of laic music – harpsichord. The idea to arrange the cycles of baroque music programs was suggested by Anastasia Chertok, a pianist, organist and harpsichord player. She always comments on the executed compositions.
